While Hike NS is a nonprofit, it is not a charity. Hike NS is a grantee of Our Pathways Society, a charity that can issue tax receipts. Much of Hike NS's work fullfils Our Pathways Society's charitable purposes. You can make a donation to Our Pathways Society to support hiking in NS. Here are some examples of what your support helps Hike NS provide for others:
- $50: Covers the cost of a spot for someone in a weekly walking group or a guided hike
- $75: Covers the cost of providing Hiker Challenge Youth badges for a youth group
- $100: Reduces a Hike NS course fee for someone facing barriers
- $150: Gives a free Hiking Summit registration for someone facing barriers
- $200: Covers the cost of a walk leader training session
- $300: Helps support our trail and wilderness protection advocacy efforts
