7:00 pm on Thursday, September 19 at Mountain Equipment Company in Halifax (1550 Granville St.).
Presenter
Tracey Buchanan, who is also a Hike Nova Scotia board member, runs Maritime Dog First Aid and Hiking Safety.
“All my life, I have had the joy of owning the loveliest dogs. I have learned many lessons through the friendships I’ve had with each dog, and we’ve hiked many trails together. Years of exploring with my dogs has taught me the importance of being safe on the trail. I decided that knowing dog first aid was a must! Dogs can have accidents and get into trouble. Sometimes their impulsiveness can cause them to be injured and it’s our job to make sure we can give them the best care in these situations. I decided to combine my hiking experience and my first aid knowledge to offer training in canine first aid and hiking safety. All my dogs are agile hikers and love being on the trail.”
The clinic is offered in partnership with
Maritime Dog First Aid and Hiking Safety,
Mountain Equipment Company and the
Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage.
Attendees can enjoy 10% off shopping afterwards (some restrictions apply).
