How it works:
1. Buy an event ticket:
- Sales open soon!
- If you can’t join us on the day, please hike virtually with us wherever you are
- Tickets are nonrefundable (rain or shine and it’s a fundraiser after all...)
2. Come out to the Cole Harbour Heritage Park on October 26 any time between 9 am and 4:30 pm. At the event:
- Come dressed appropriately (rain or shine) and bring water and snacks
- Pick up your special gift (for ticket-holders)
- Take a hike however long you like along the various trails
- Enter to win some great prizes for anyone who joins us that day*. See below for a description of some amazing prizes
3. Meet our special guests and get advice on hiking, trails and more:
- Deborah Peddle-Hann of Journey to Wellness, Cape Chignecto backpacker extraordinaire
- Chris Surette and Jan Sebastian LaPierre from A for Adventure

Why support Hike Nova Scotia? Because, as a nonprofit organization, we do some pretty cool work to support hiking in the province: free guided hikes with local partners province-wde; free walking groups across the province; hiking-related courses and webinars; Hiker Challenge badges; the Trail Builders Network; the International Appalachian Trail; and more! New this year is our Young Hikers Club!
