Maritime Dog First Aid and Hiking Safety present a webinar on hiking with dogs. Join Tracey Buchanan as she teaches us about:

- Dog manners on the trail
- Hiking safety for your dog
Presenter
Tracey Buchanan, who is also a Hike Nova Scotia board member, runs Maritime Dog First Aid and Hiking Safety.
“All my life, I have had the joy of owning the loveliest dogs. I have learned many lessons through the friendships I’ve had with each dog, and we’ve hiked many trails together. Years of exploring with my dogs has taught me the importance of being safe on the trail. I decided that knowing dog first aid was a must! Dogs can have accidents and get into trouble. Sometimes their impulsiveness can cause them to be injured and it’s our job to make sure we can give them the best care in these situations. I decided to combine my hiking experience and my first aid knowledge to offer training in canine first aid and hiking safety. I have three dogs now Bruin, Tuukka, and Holly - all my dogs are agile hikers and love being on the trail.”
The webinar is offered in partnership with
Maritime Dog First Aid and Hiking Safety and the
Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage.
